Illustration Projects

Brief

This illustration project explores the rich cultural identity of Bihar through the lens of its traditions, festivals, and culinary heritage. Drawing inspiration from my own roots and personal experiences, the project aims to celebrate the stories, rituals, and everyday experiences that define the cultural landscape of the region.

The project focuses on two significant aspects of Bihari culture: Litti Chokha, a traditional dish deeply connected to the region's identity, and Chhath Puja, one of the most important festivals celebrated across Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Through illustration, typography, and visual storytelling, I sought to capture the essence, emotions, and cultural significance associated with these traditions.

Objective

The objective was to create engaging and accessible visual narratives that celebrate and preserve regional cultural heritage. By combining research, storytelling, and illustration, I aimed to highlight the richness, warmth, and authenticity of Bihari culture while creating visually expressive experiences that resonate with contemporary audiences.

This project also allowed me to explore how illustration can function as a medium of cultural documentation, storytelling, and emotional connection.
